Mathematics
Shannon Craddock joins AESA Prep Academy as a secondary mathematics teacher, bringing nearly three decades of experience in education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University and holds multiple Texas teaching certifications, including Math 1–8, Math 6–12, Self-Contained 1–8, and Reading 1–6. Shannon began her teaching career in 1997 and has worked across a wide range of school settings, including Dripping Springs ISD, Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, Omaha Central High School, and several Texas high schools.

Growing up in Iowa, Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, and Texas, Shannon developed a broad perspective that continues to shape her approach to teaching and learning. She was drawn to a career in education by her love of learning and her desire to share that passion with others. In the classroom, Shannon believes that while math skills are essential, the relationships built with students are even more significant. Her goal is to help students become confident problem solvers who feel supported, capable, and willing to take intellectual risks.

Shannon is especially proud of raising her three children and brings that same care, patience, and commitment into her work with students. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and gardening. Shannon has been married to her husband, Jarred, for 26 years, and they have three children—Owen, Eli, and Zoë. A longtime Girl Scout leader for 13 years, Shannon values leadership, service, and community, and she is excited to bring those qualities to the AESA community.
