Nicole Fernandez

Academic Support Specialist

Nicole Fernandez joins AESA Prep Academy as an Academic Support Specialist, bringing over 13 years of experience in elementary education and a strong background in reading instruction and intervention. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University and Texas State University and is certified in Early Childhood through 5th Grade and English as a Second Language. This year, she will further deepen her knowledge with the Dyslexia Training Institute, earning the title of Certified-Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist.

Nicole’s approach to education is grounded in the belief that every child deserves individualized support to thrive. She is passionate about building students' confidence and fostering a love of learning through targeted academic interventions. With a calm and encouraging presence, Nicole strives to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, motivated, and capable of reaching their full potential.

Originally from Austin, Nicole has lived in Dripping Springs since 2018 with her husband, Kyle, and their two daughters. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring local attractions, and discovering new restaurants around the area. Nicole is excited to support AESA students as they grow in their learning and develop the skills they need for long-term success.
