Kelsey Lincoln

Kelsey earned her B.S. in Biochemistry with minors in Pre-Medical Studies and Biology from Texas State University in May 2026 and is currently completing her 4-8 and 7-12 Science teaching certification. She began her education career through Texas State University, serving as a Learning Assistant and Lab Instructor for various physics and chemistry courses. She also has experience as a Pedagogy Learning Assistant and a Learning Assistant Advisor, aiding new assistants in their roles in guiding STEM courses. Kelsey also has experience in a biology research lab, which focused on mussels’ reproductive timing and stable conservation methods for the species.

 

Kelsey is working towards her first publication in STEM Education. Her research focuses on the various courses in the Texas State University STEM Learning Assistant Program, and how these assistants work through transitioning across different STEM courses. She has presented her preliminary research at the Fourth Annual TXST STEM Conference and the 20th Undergraduate Honors Research Conference. This experience has greatly inspired her path towards hands-on learning and the importance of interdisciplinary education.

 

Kelsey’s goals for her students is to find all the joys in her STEM classroom and always be curious. In her free time, she likes to bake, crochet, and read. You can always find her spending her weekends working on her next yarn project.
